Artistic Simplistic is a dynamic duo consisting of Edgar Gonzalez Jr. and Jessi Riese. The two met during a creative writing course at the University of Central Florida. After discovering that they both wrote their own music and also favored the same bands, they decided that starting a band together was inevitable.
The band is based in Orlando, Florida and has performed many shows around town at venues like Natura Café, The Haven Lounge, Austin's Coffee, and others. The band performed it's first show in January 2009.
"Rouge & Roundabouts", the first song the band wrote together, was debuted at open mic night at Natura Café, winning best performance of the night. The song has become a fan favorite, along with "Alice", which features a kazoo solo.
In June 2009, the band traveled to New York City, performing in Union Square and at the Sidewalk Café. The trip was funded thanks to donations recieved via paypal. Original songs were written and recorded, as well as several cover songs, for those who donated. These songs can be heard as part of the "New York" album.

Sure did. I love unique things, music, etc. Hate mainstream of today, every song, every singer, etc sound the same. I don't know if other bands out there w/ music similar to yours, but it's like your made your own style.
Ya know, an idea for a type of song to try to make, I could see you all doing. Many people are scared of dolls, especially the ones w/ eye lashes, etc. Some people have the fear of dolls that others have of clowns.
In line of the Puppet song, you could probably make pretty some eerie songs.
I let the big cheese of this major arts production company know about you all, their events generally have 3,000+ who attend. Your music I think would blend nicely with the overall theme of some of their events. So you may or may not be contacted by them in the future.
of course i remember you from amanda's show! glad you found me on myspace even though i hardly ever log in to it anymore. :P mostly on facebook and twitter these days. anyway, good to see you, virtual hugs and stuff! :)
